Last week was a busy week for clients using our exclusive sonostream (web streaming) services. I scanned a mom who arrived with her parents, sisters and in-laws. Her husband was not present as he is serving our country currently stationed in Iraq. He has access to Internet services and email so we were able to set up a live streaming video of this ultrasound. Not only was he able to watch this session live, he was able to hear everyone’s reactions and voices in the ultrasound room since the room has a microphone. He also has the opportunity to watch this again and again since he can save it on a computer then burn it to a disc.
This baby was a stubborn little guy who likes sleeping with his hands and feet curled up in his face. The entire family was joking that he is already stubborn like his dad. After a while we were able to catch a glimpse of this beautiful little boy who briefly stretched out and smiled. The reactions were priceless…laughing crying and speechless. This baby not only acts like his daddy he looks exactly like him too according to the family.
I later received an email from the dad in Iraq thanking me for sharing this special moment in his life. I always feel like I should be the one thanking you for letting me enjoy these special bonding moments and catch a glimpse into such loving families anticipating such a wonderful miracle. This dad was especially grateful to be able to re-watch this ultrasound and share it with his unit in Iraq. It will bring much joy to many for many months until he will meet his son in person.
